The Sycamore depot is the newest addition to the local collectibles in the Cat's Meow Village line at Made Just For You. Other local buildings represented by Cat's Meow include the Ellwood House, the Egyptian Theatre and the Hopkins Park band shell. The new piece will be introduced at Made Just For You's fall open house.

SYCAMORE – The newest Cat’s Meow local building replica will be introduced at the annual open house at Made Just for You in downtown Sycamore. It is a 5-by-5-inch wooden depiction of the Sycamore train station viewed at an angle. On the back is historical information about the building and the trains that used to run through Sycamore.

Collectible Cat’s Meow buildings have been designed and produced in Wooster, Ohio since 1988. The new piece was produced through the cooperation of the depot's new owner, the DeKalb County Community Foundation. The Joiner History Room provided the historical information. The piece is the 18th in the local collection at Made Just for You. Other buildings include the county courthouse, the Sycamore Library, the Sycamore Theater and the Popcorn Stand.

Made Just for You releases a new Cat’s Meow building replica each year. This year’s open house is Saturday, Sept. 15 from 9:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. There will be door prizes, free food samples, store specials and new seasonal items. All of the Cat’s Meow local pieces will be available for purchase.
