SHABBONA – The Shabbona-Lee-Rollo Historical Museum opened to the public for the first time in September 1992. The theme for the opening was country schools.

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the museum, at 119 W. Comanche in Shabbona, will hold an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30. The theme will once again be country schools, and people who attended country schools are encouraged to attend and reminisce. Staff and board members will be present and light refreshments will be served.
