Westminster presents chamber music

DeKALB – Westminster Presbyterian Church, 830 N. Annie Glidden Road in DeKalb, will hold its first chamber music series concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16.

Northern Illinois University professor of violin Blaise Magniere of the Avalon String Quartet will perform a solo in Bach's Double Violin Concerto in D Minor with violinist Laurie Rodriguez, who teaches violin at the NIU Community School of the Arts. Lynn Vogl, principal flutist with the Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra, will also be featured as a soloist in Bach's Sinfonia in B Minor. The program will conclude with Beethoven's String Trio in E Flat. Magniere will be joined by NIU violinist and Kishwaukee Symphony concertmaster Ann Montzka and KSO principal cellist Tom Cappaert.

The concert is free, though freewill offerings will be accepted. For more information, call 815-756-2905.
