Wine fundraiser for historic mansion
DeKALB – The fifth annual Wine on the Terrace benefit for the nonprofit Ellwood House Association will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15. This major fundraiser for the Ellwood House Association has become an eagerly-anticipated community affair.
Inboden’s of DeKalb, a local specialty food market and wine merchant, is again partnering with Ellwood House for this event. Inboden’s will serve an array of fine wines and appetizers on the Ellwood Mansion terrace while guests listen to the harp music of Kate Cockle. As visitors linger on the terrace sipping wines, they can take a self-guided tour through the first floor of the mansion, or they may choose the Visitor Center for desserts and coffee. A silent auction will take place through the afternoon and evening.
Tickets for Wine on the Terrace are $50 each and should be purchased in advance. Only 200 tickets will be available.
Major sponsorship support comes from Resource Bank. Gold level sponsorship support comes from Jerry and Cheri Brauer and Dawn Equipment. Silver level sponsors are Banner Up Signs and Ron Klein. Bronze level sponsors are Acupuncture Health Center, American Midwest Bank, Anderson Funeral Home, Dr. Rodney Borstad, The Foster & Buick Law Group LLC., Jerry and Annette Johns, Matt and Nancy Myre, Mark Rottler at Fifth Third Securities and State Farm Agents Darrell Foss, Jeff Keicher, Brian Scholle and Scott Zeimet. Sponsorships are still being accepted, and a final donor list will be printed on the wine program and on www.ellwoodhouse.org.
