Saari earns Eagle rank

KIRKLAND – Jamison Saari of Kirkland Boy Scout Troop 26 achieved the rank of Eagle Scout on July 28.

Jamison is the son of Stephanie Saari of Kirkland and Mitchell Saari of DeKalb.

Eagle Scout is the highest rank any Boy Scout can achieve, and also the most difficult.  Only 2 percent of Scouts become Eagle Scouts. An Eagle Scout must go through six Boy Scout ranks, complete 21 merit badges – 11 of which are required – lead a community service project, usually with a nonprofit organization, and complete the Eagle Scout Board of Review. Holding leadership positions in the troop is also important.
