Used instruments accepted til Aug. 10

Kevin Loitz, a Sycamore High School student and Life Scout with BSA Troop 2810 in Sycamore, got help from fellow Boy Scouts, leaders and a younger Cub Scout in cleaning, oiling and polishing more than 20 instruments as part of Kevin's Eagle Scout project. Kevin has been collecting unwanted or unused musical instruments and plans to donate them to the Sycamore School District Music Department for the specific purpose of loaning them to music students who cannot afford to rent or purchase an instrument. He will collect instruments until Aug. 10. For more information, email instrumentsforchildren@gmail.com.
