Dead or dormant? Lawn care in a drought

SYCAMORE – Sycamore History Museum at Engh Farm and University of Illinois Extension DeKalb County Master Gardeners will present the last Back on the Farm Gardening Workshop at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8 at the museum, 1730 N. Main St. in Sycamore.

“Care for Your Lawn” is a free workshop detailing what steps to take spring, summer and fall to give your lawn the best chance to grow green and lush. Find out the answers to questions on weed control, fertilizer, irrigation and common mistakes.

Randy Moseley, a Master Gardener since 2009, will lead the workshop. He is a carpenter and leads Master Gardener projects at the DeKalb County Nursing and Rehab Center. He is active in seven other projects.
