DeKALB – The Family Time Sock Hop event at the Let’s Dance Big Band Weekend has been revived.

The sock hop had been canceled, but thanks to a phone call from Ann Oduber, a Sycamore mom of two boys and church education/youth leader at DeKalb’s First Lutheran, to Just Make It Happen President John Smith, the event has been rescued. 

“Our board of directors is excited that Ann is determined to get families involved in a healthy and easy activity: dance,” Smith said. “Her positive, can-do attitude and work ethic will provide DeKalb area families a wonderful service, helping them enjoy the benefits of family time dancing.”
