Kardboard Regatta ready to set sail

KINGSTON – Village officials do not expect low water levels in the Kishwaukee River to affect this year’s Kingston Kardboard Regatta on Saturday, July 21.

“This is the driest that it has ever been since we started the event,” said Heather Edwards, clerk for the village of Kingston. “But I don’t think it will be a problem.”

The annual boat race has become the most popular event at the annual Kingston Fest, in Kingston Township Park, since the regatta was first held in 2004.
