Lehan's gives away free cash

DeKALB – Lehan Drugs in DeKalb will give away $2 bills to the first 500 people who visit the store's DeKalb location between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. on July 19 – but there's a catch.

The bills will only be given to visitors who promise to spend them at another locally-owned business in the community.

Owner and pharmacist Tim Lehan wanted to educate his employees, customers and patients about the importance of supporting locally-owned businesses in DeKalb County.  Last December, he ordered 2,500 $2 bills from National Bank and Trust Co. He gave each of his 50 employees $100 worth of the bills with specific instructions on how to spend them.
