It will be something of a relief to taxpayers to know that they will not be called to pay one cent of the county superintendent’s salary this year. The superintendent is now paid from a fund arising from the sale of school lands. The fund has been lying in the state treasury bearing interest for the last 50 years.
Eliza Healy is just alive; her death is expected at any moment.
