Local woman gets red carpet treatment
DeKALB – In a way, it may have been the shortest flight anyone ever won.
To her surprise, Emily Bidstrup won a national essay/photo contest through Pepsi and Twitter for an all-expense paid trip for two to Nashville to attend the Country Music Television awards.
“I forgot I entered the contest,” the 22-year-old DeKalb woman said, laughing. She had entered at least a month before the winner was announced. “They thought (my entry) captured the Pepsi Now movement the best. I’m still in shock.”
