How to landscape with native plants

SYCAMORE – University of Illinois Extension Horticulture Educator Candice Miller will present “Landscaping with Native Plants” at 1 p.m., Monday, June 25 at the DeKalb County Extension Office in the Farm Bureau Center for Agriculture.

Native plants can be an excellent addition to your home landscape, but there are certainly some tips and tricks for success. In this hour-long program, Miller will teach the best native plants for use in the landscape and some basic maintenance tips, as well basic propagation techniques for starting your own plants and creating an attractive landscape with native plants.

Miller holds a master’s degree from the University of Illinois in agricultural education and a bachelor’s degree in horticulture.
