Grants for groups offering legal aid

The Kane County Bar Foundation is accepting grants from nonprofit organizations seeking to meet the unfilled legal needs of local people. Since 1996, the foundation has offered funds to develop new and innovative programs and resources to better meet the legal needs of the community.

Last year, eight grants totaling $12,500 were awarded to local organizations and agencies.

Only one application will be accepted per agency per funding year. Applications are due no later than July 1, and may be obtained by on the Kane County Bar Association website, www.kanecountybar.org/kcbf-grants or by emailing executive director Jan Wade at director@kanecountybar.org.
