Lehan's celebrates local history

DeKALB — Lehan Drugs will unveil a 40-foot History Wall within its DeKalb location, 1407 S. Fourth St. in DeKalb, from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 14.

The wall pays tribute to the store’s roots and 65-year history in the community. Designed by OC Imageworks, a DeKalb graphic design and production company, the wall incorporates a treasure trove of old pictures going back to the first Lehan Drugs location, which opened in DeKalb in 1946, and continuing right up through the present day.

“We are extremely excited to have the opportunity to highlight our history and the history of the local community through this unique design,” said Tim Lehan. “As a company in the community for over 65 years, we are proud of our history and the opportunity to pay tribute to all of our employees and customers that have supported us throughout the past 6-plus decades.”
