Clinic has new medical director

DeKALB – Dr. Lisa D. Crutcher, MD, is the new medical director of the Community Cares Clinic.

Crutcher has also joined the medical staff of Kishwaukee Community Hospital and is seeing patients full time at the Community Cares Clinic. Her special medical interests are women’s and children’s health.

“I am happy to be caring for patients in my community,” she said.

Crutcher practiced in Dixon until 2007, then at Kishwaukee Medical Associates in Sycamore and Swedish American Hospital in Rockford from 2008 to the present. She has been a clinical assistant professor of family medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine since 2006.

Crutcher completed her undergraduate work and graduated from medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Rockford, in 1998. Her internship and residency were done at Northwest Arkansas Family Practice and she became board certified in family practice in 2001 and recertified in 2008.

Crutcher is originally from Sycamore and has lived there since moving back in 2007 with her husband and three children.
