DeKALB – Shelley Rhoades has joined Castle Bank as a mortgage loan originator, according to an announcement by mortgage sales manager Brian Schrader. She will be located at Castle Bank in Sycamore, but will also serve the Sycamore Road location in DeKalb.

Schrader said Rhoades’ 12 years of mortgage experience, extensive sales background and knowledge of the community make her a great addition to the Castle Bank mortgage department.

“Today’s real estate transactions can be very complicated and tricky due to the mortgage guidelines and property conditions. It is imperative to work with a reputable financial institution such as Castle Bank,” Rhoades said. “My priority, besides offering excellent customer service and communication, is to thoroughly explain the process and provide my clients with the knowledge they need in today’s market.”

Rhoades is very active in the community. She is a CASA advocate, teaches classes on banking, credit and budgeting at DeKalb High School for Teens in Transition, serves on the social committee for the local Realtor Association, is involved in both DeKalb and Sycamore chambers of commerce, is a DeKalb Chamber Leadership Academy graduate and volunteers with TAILS.

“We are very excited to have Shelley on our team. She is committed to customer service and will be a valuable asset to our bank,” Schrader said.
