The lobsters are coming to church

DeKALB – St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 900 Normal Road in DeKalb, will celebrate its 43rd annual lobster boil May 19.

Deadline to order 1¼-pound lobsters is May 14. Order forms can be found in the newspaper, at the church or online at www.stpaulsdekalb.org. The lobsters are shipped live overnight from New England. Live lobsters cost $18 and can be picked up at 4 p.m. the day of the boil; cooked lobsters are $20 and can be picked up at 5, 6 or 7 p.m.

A significant portion of the proceeds from the boil are distributed to local nonprofit agencies. Last year’s boil provided contributions to DeKalb County Hospice, Voluntary Action Center, Family Service Agency, 4-C: Community Coordinated Child Care, Hope Haven, Safe Passage, the American Red Cross, Love INC, Habitat for Humanity and DeKalb County Nursing and Rehab Center Auxiliary.
