Hendricks comes home for concert

SYCAMORE - Concert pianist and composer Jim Hendricks has traveled a long way to come back home.

In the course of his career, he has performed concerts both nationally and internationally.  He has shared the stage with legends such Dave Brubeck, Della Reese, Maynard Ferguson and Jack Jones. He also appeared on ABC, CBS, TBN and the Pax network.  He will give a concert in his home church, Sycamore United Methodist, at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 5.

Hendricks has periodically performed concerts to packed houses at SUMC, where his parents still attend services. People always enjoy his energy, creativity and technique. A free-will offering will be taken during the service, and some of Hendricks' 11 CD recordings will be available for sale.
