Dining Red samples county cuisine

SYCAMORE — The DeKalb County American Red Cross will host its fourth annual signature event, Dining Red: A Sample of DeKalb County, from 5 until 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 10 at Blumen Gardens, 403 Edward St. in Sycamore.

Restaurants and caterers from throughout DeKalb County will offer samples of their menus for the 200 guests in attendance. The event also will feature entertainment by Craig Mathey, a silent auction, raffle and a local artist corner.

Some of the items in the artist corner are photography by Tim O’Shaughnessy and Debbie Miller, jewelry by Robin Schoenburg and Emma Hagemeyer, art by Marla Shega, David Zoberis and Sally Scott, knitting by Michele Paul, a garden mosaic by Cheryl Callighan and a fused glass bowl by Christy Klein.
