'War' exhibit Date: through Nov. 28 Place: Kishwaukee College Art Gallery Admission: Free More information: Call 815-825-2086, ext. 561 Exhibition of works titled “War: Dance of Death in Black, White and Blood Red All Over” by artist Kurt Brian Webb is at the gallery through Nov. 28. The collection of woodcuts and ceramics serve as social commentary on militarism and war. Webb has created stark images, hand-carved from blocks of wood and then preinted in black and red ink on Japanese rice paper that also bears the faded articles from newspapers. Gallery hours are Tuesdays noon to 7 p.m., Wednesdays 2 to 9 p.m. and Thursdays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

115th Dinner and Country Bazaar Time: Bazaar at 3 p.m., dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Date: Thursday, Nov. 20 Place: Shabbona United Church of Christ, 104 E. Navaho St. Tickets: $10 for adults, $5 for children 5 to 10, free for children under 5. Families can pick up generous size carryouts from 4 to 6 p.m. for $10 a dinner. Bazaar in the fireside room off the sanctuary will feature homemade baked goods and handmade country crafts. The traditional family-style turkey dinner features fresh Ho-Ka turnkey, homemade stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, candied carrots, cole slaw, rolls, beverage and homemade dessert.
