Scandinavia featured at Family Fun Festival

Scandinavia will be the featured heritage at this fall’s Family Fun Festival presented by the Midwest Museum of Natural History, which traditionally celebrates American heritage. The event will feature Norwegian pastries, handiwork displays and authentic Norwegian dancing by the Stoughton Norwegian Dancers of Stoughton, Wis. The festival is scheduled Sunday, Oct. 13, at 1:30 p.m. at Sycamore Middle School, 150 Maplewood Drive, Sycamore. These energetic high school dancers perform across the United States, sharing their talents and ethnic traditions. The public can pick up some Norwegian pastries at the bake sale, and take a look at some Norwegian handiwork. Advance tickets are $5. Call the museum at 815-895-9777. Tickets at the door are $6, and doors open at 1 p.m. Visit www.mmnh.org for more information.
