Patriot Day Observance Time: 8:45 a.m. Date: Thursday, Sept. 11 Place: DeKalb Fire Station #1, 700 Pine St. The DeKalb Fire Department will conduct a memorial ceremony to honor the innocent victims who lost their lives as a result of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. The 09/11 commemorative flag will be flown at each station at half mast. The flag was designed to commemorate the events of Sept. 11, and was presented to FDNY Engine 54, Ladder 4, and Battalion 9.
