Stage Coach Auditions Time: 1 - 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, 7 - 9 p.m. Monday Date: March 8 - 10 Place: Immanuel Lutheran Church, 511 Russell Road For more information: Call (815) 758-1940 The plays that Stage Coach will be producing this summer begin with the famous radio plays "The Hitchhiker," and "Sorry, Wrong Number," both by Louise Fletcher, on April 13. It is followed by "Heaven Can Wait," a romantic comedy by Harry Segall and will run May 8 to May 18. "Communicating Doors," a time-traveling thriller by Alan Ayckbourn hits the stage running from June 5 to June 15. The summer musical is the popular "Bye Bye Birdie," by Charles Strouse, Lee Adams and Michael Stewart July 10 - July 20. John Patrick's classic comedy "The Curious Savage" plays from Aug. 7 - 17 followed by the award-winning Arthur Miller drama "All My Sons" starting Sept. 4 through Sept. 14. The season ends with the contemporary comedy "Over The River and Through The Woods" by Joe DiPietro from Oct. 2 to Oct. 12. Men, women and teenagers are asked to audition.
Youth Breakfast Time: 8 a.m. - noon Date: Sunday, March 9 Place: Knights of Columbus Hall, 1336 E. Lincoln Highway Cost: $5 adult donation, $3 children Knights of Columbus Council 717 DeKalb and Boy Scout Troop 4 DeKalb will host this breakfast, with proceeds benefiting youth activities in the community. The meal includes eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, pancakes, milk, juice and coffee.

POW Camp Remembered Time: noon Date: Thursday, March 6 Place: Sycamore Historical Society, 308 W. State St. It may come as a surprise to many people, but there was a prisoner of war camp in Sycamore during World War II. The camp held about 300 prisoners who lived in tents along South Ave. Many of the prisoners worked at the Sycamore Preserve Works on Park Avenue, or on local farms. Hear stories from local residents who lived in Sycamore and remember what it was like when the POWs were in town at the latest brown bag luncheon.
