Officers from the DeKalb Police Department have arrested two suspects who were illegally involved with five burglaries that occurred between Oct. 21 and Oct. 27 at the 1000 block of W. Lincoln Highway. Police said most of the burglaries occurred during the late evening and early morning hours. Police said cash, credit cards and electronic items were taken during most of the burglaries. According to police, the suspects were able to enter the homes due to unlocked doors.
Police said a surveillance video from a local convenience store depicted the suspects attempting to use one of the stolen credit cards.
Police said Kevin D. Johnson, 20, DeKalb, and Michael A. Mocerino, 19, DeKalb, have been charged with five counts of residential burglary.
Alexandre D. Cannon, 19, Bolingbrook, was arrested Nov. 9, 3:10 a.m. at the 1000 block of Crane Drive. He was arrested for obstructing a peace officer.
Jose Luis Orihuela, 27, was arrested Nov. 9, 1:54 a.m. at the 100 block of S. Third St. He was arrested for two counts of DUI and parking in roadway.
On Nov. 8, officers from the DeKalb Police Department issued a warrant for Thomas G. Chemler, 19, DeKalb for disorderly conduct.
Police said, on Oct. 30, Chemler reported that a suspect approached him and demanded money. Police said Chemler reported that he produced a knife, and the suspect left the scene.
Police said, on Nov. 8, they re-interviewed Chemler, and he said he made up the story, because he was tired and bored.
Michael K. Fitzgerald, 55, Maple Park, was arrested Nov. 8, 9:34 p.m. at the 900 block of Lucinda Ave. He was arrested for disorderly house and resisting a peace officer.
Jocelyn Allen, 18, Chicago, was arrested Nov. 8, 10:25 p.m. at the 200 block of N. Annie Glidden Road. She was arrested for possession of cannabis and disobeying a traffic signal.
Randy E. Stewart, 24, DeKalb, and Deangelo T. Parker, 18, DeKalb, were arrested Nov. 7, 8:22 p.m. at the 1000 block of Crane Drive. Stewart was arrested on a warrant for domestic battery. Parker was arrested for criminal damage to property.
Officers from the DeKalb Police Department conducted a tobacco sale compliance check at several local businesses on Nov. 6.
As a result of the investigation, Irfan Kausar Ali, 18, DeKalb of 7-11; Shannon M. Moore, 22, DeKalb, of the Amoco gas station at the 1100 block of N. First St., and Ratna P. Chowdary, 23, DeKalb, of the Mobil gas station at the 2400 block of Sycamore Road, were cited for selling tobacco products to a minor.
Gloria J. Teagus, 43, DeKalb, was arrested Nov. 6, 7:21 p.m. at the 1100 block of W. Lincoln Highway. She was arrested for battery.
April R. Walker, 30, DeKalb, was arrested Nov. 5, 7:38 p.m. at the 1200 block of W. Lincoln Highway. She was arrested for battery.
Andrew H. Kellogg, 35, Chana, was arrested Nov. 5, 11:16 a.m. at the 100 block of S. Seventh St. He was arrested for possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jennifer D. Tagle, 26, Yorkville, was arrested Nov. 5, 9:42 a.m., after she turned herself in to police. She was arrested on a failure to appear warrant for criminal damage to property.
Robert M. Meyers, 43, DeKalb, was arrested Nov. 5 at the DeKalb Police Department. He was arrested on a warrant for theft, a warrant for burglary and a warrant for driving while license revoked.
Brian P. Schorsch, 45, DeKalb, was arrested Nov. 4, 9:21 p.m. at the 300 block of Fisk Ave. He was arrested for domestic battery.
Chadd S. Swofford, 29, DeKalb, was arrested Nov. 4, 5:52 p.m. at the 700 block of Leonard Ave. He was arrested for domestic battery.
Corey G. Metoyer, 20, DeKalb, was arrested Nov. 4, 2:30 a.m. at the 900 block of Ridge Drive. He was arrested for DUI, DUI over .08, no valid driver's license, improper lane use and a failure to appear warrant.
Ishmael Miller, 19, DeKalb, and Justin R. Smith, 19, Belvidere, were arrested Nov. 4, 12:58 a.m. at the 1000 block of W. Hillcrest Drive. Miller was arrested for delivery of cannabis. Smith was arrested for unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful consumption of alcohol.
Amy L. Gleason, 17, Shabbona, was arrested Nov. 3, 7:21 p.m. at Kohl's. She was arrested for retail theft.
Tommie D. Cosey, 27, Chicago, was arrested Nov. 3, 3:19 p.m. at the 800 block of Crane Drive. He was arrested on two failure to appear warrants for DUI.
Christopher C. Jewett, 35, Wildwood, was arrested Nov. 3, 8:05 a.m. at the 2500 block of Sycamore Road. He was arrested for driving while license suspended, operating a vehicle with suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
Hillary M. Roeder, 21, DeKalb, was arrested Nov. 3, 4:30 a.m. at the 800 block of Ridge Drive. She was arrested for criminal damage to property.
A 14-year-old female juvenile of DeKalb and a 12-year-old female juvenile of DeKalb were arrested Nov. 2, 7:01 p.m. at Kohl's. They were arrested for retail theft.
Ann E. Fricke, 48, DeKalb, was arrested Nov. 2, 2:58 a.m. at the 1700 block of Sycamore Road. She was arrested for DUI and improper lane usage.

Arturo Garcia, 34, St. Charles, was arrested Nov. 4, 5 a.m. on Route 64. He was arrested for DUI.
Robert Curatola, 24, Rochelle, was arrested April 3, 11:30 p.m. near the corner of Route 64 and Five Points Road. He was arrested for DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Nicole Shearer, 26, Plano, was arrested Nov. 3, 2:52 a.m. near the corner of Church Road and Main Street in Sandwich. She was arrested for DUI and failure to signal.
Enri J. Izaguirre, 28, DeKalb, was arrested Nov. 3, 2:18 a.m. near the corner of Annie Glidden Road and Route 64. He was arrested for DUI, DUI over .08, expired registration and improper lane usage.
Tanya Moore, 28, Genoa, was arrested Nov. 3, 12:30 a.m. near the corner of Route 72 and First Street in Kirkland. She was arrested for DUI.
Bradley D. Bonne, 40, Shabbona, was arrested Nov. 2, 11:22 p.m. near the corner of Shabbona Road and Lee Road. He was arrested for DUI and no plate light.
Sycamore
Walter M. Gay, 20, DeKalb, was arrested Nov. 8, 7:33 p.m. at the 300 block of Mason Court. He was arrested for resisting a peace officer and a warrant.
Katelyn Whisenand, 17, Sycamore; Trevor Thompson, 17, Sycamore; Shaun Mayo, 17, Sycamore; Ryan Jackson, 17, Sycamore; Roy Thompson, 18, Sycamore; and a 15-year-old juvenile of Sycamore, were arrested Nov. 2, 10:53 p.m. at the 100 block of W. Exchange St. Whisenand, Thompson, Mayo and the juvenile were arrested for unlawful consumption of alcohol. Jackson was arrested for unlawful consumption of alcohol and unlawful delivery of alcohol to a minor. Thompson was arrested for unlawful consumption of alcohol and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
“Crime of the Week”
Police are looking for information regarding a residential burglary that occurred Nov. 5 on Derby Line Road in rural Genoa. Police said an apple-shaped glass jar full of change and two jewelry boxes containing several pieces of jewelry were taken from the residence.
