
Woman with local ties competes on 'Apprentice'Nicole D'Ambrosio, a graduate of Kishwaukee College and Northern Illinois University, is one of 18 candidates vying for a job with Donald Trump on the new season of The Apprentice that premiered on Sunday, Jan. 7 on NBC. D'Ambrosio is a Naperville native who graduated from Kishwaukee College with an associates of science degree and a certificate in real estate in May 2002. D'Ambrosio owns her own real estate company in the Chicagoland area. D'Ambrosio is one of 18 candidates who compete for an opportunity to work for Donald Trump. The competition was held in Los Angeles and will be aired over the next several weeks on NBC. The show was filmed from May to July of 2006 in LA. Although the candidates know the results, they are held under a confidentiality agreement not to discuss the show. On the NBC Web site, D'Ambrosio is nicknamed "The Dreamer" and her identifying quote is "You have a window of opportunity to show everything you have - use it." Ann Tucker, dean of arts/communications/social sciences, was D'Ambrosio's instructor for a philosophy class when she was at Kishwaukee College and remembers her well. "I remember Nicole was very vivacious and creative and thoughtful. I had no doubt then that she would be a success," Tucker said. |
