SYCAMORE – The DeKalb County History Center is saying thank you and Happy Holidays with an open house that is free to everyone.
The afternoon will include tours of the exhibit, “Crossroads: Change in Rural America,” craft activities, hot chocolate, cider and sugar cookies.
“DeKalb County has been very supportive of our transition to the DeKalb County History Center,” Michelle Donahoe, executive director of the DeKalb County History Center, said in a news release. “To show our appreciation, we are opening our doors to all. Tours, sugar-cookie decorating and hot chocolate make for a fun family tradition.”
The holiday open house is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. The event is free and open to the public; donations are welcome.
The DeKalb County History Center is at 1730 N. Main St. in Sycamore.
