The quilters have made other donations this year. They gave lap afghans, quilts and bed runners to Kindred Care Hospital, baby quilts to We Care Pregnancy in DeKalb, and quilted pillows to the Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital Cancer Center in DeKalb.

Heritage Quilters meet at 9 a.m. the second Thursday of each month at Resource Bank, 310 S. Highway 23 in Genoa. Meetings topics vary but may include workshops on new techniques, demonstrations by various members of the club and working on charity or individual projects.

New members are always welcome.
